I specially enjoyed your home made yogurt sherbet and I would very much like to make it myself. Let's see if I can recall;
Mix small bottle of plain yogurt with a big bottle of low fat fresh milk ( after slightly warming the latter) Leave mixture at room temperature for 24 hrs. Freeze. To eat, blend frozen yogurt with canned peaches (or other fruits).

After a meal of whole steamed fish and 'Penang pork', veges and oyster mushroom, I can barely move. The food has been great and it’s been a privilege to be involved in the preparation – especially pounding Rendang paste!
I haven’t learn much Thai language though – it’s too hard! I have loved riding out on the dirt roads between the roads on the bike – glowing green and mountains in backdrop – and nice and flat!
Eric and Som have been very attentive and helpful, and good company. It’s been a great way to start my time in Thailand.

Eric & Thitaporn have been great hosts. Great experience staying in a Thai village and experiencing life the Thai way.
Accommodated four adults and a three-year old child with ease. A lovely tidy clean house (with a western toilet). Amazing food cooked by Thitaporn.

Thanks Eric,Let me write you a brief testimonial for your website: I spent several days in Chiang Rai and couldn't have asked for a better experience. Eric and som were very gracious and accommodating hosts; Eric gave me a fascinating tour of the village and showed me around Chiang rai and Som cooked up something new and delicious day after day.
I got to see Thai daily life from the inside out, something you won't get by staying at a hotel or just going on a tour of a village. A home stay is definitely the way to experience Thailand.

From the minute we arrived at your home, we all felt comfortable, and your special efforts to make familiar "western" foods was very much appreciated by the youngsters. Som, your Thai cooking is 100% fabulous, yum! Our four nights in your spacious guest room were quiet and comfortable.

We were recommended to use Eric as a guide while visiting Chiang Rai and took up his offer of a home stay with his family. This was the best decision we could have taken as Eric, his wife Som and his daughter Selyne made us all feel extremely welcome in their home. The food cooked by Som was fabulous and in our view is better than we have tasted in many Thai restaurants. We will all miss the wonderful food.
A home stay is an amazing way to learn first hand about the Thai culture. To live in a village and experience village life has been a fantastic experience - from going to the village market with Som at 6.00 am to buy food for the evening meal, to watching the water buffalo wander down the lane on their way home from the fields are all experiences we will never forget.
With Eric's help, we have seen many of the area's attractions but for our daughters the highlight was playing with Selyne and biking around the village together - they have all be lovely playmates and will miss your lovely home and be part of your daily village life. You are wonderful hosts and we will all miss you very much.

I wanted to say thank you to both of you for the wonderful home stay! After traveling alone for more than four weeks, it was such a treat to stay with a family. With you, I felt more like a welcomed friend than a paying guest. I so enjoyed biking through the village, seeing the lake, tasting new fruits, visiting the market, relaxing on the hammock, eating Som's fabulous food, and simply talking with the both of you.
